The origins of the postcard date back to the late 1800s with the development of the postage stamp. The postcard quickly evolved into a way to easily communicate short messages with friends and family, to share information, photos of travels or just to send love and well-wishes. While postcards still exist today, they are certainly overshadowed by technology - the swiftness and gratification of Facebook status updates, the glossiness of Instagram filters, the thrill of the tweet...
So, for the new year, begins a new feature on the Plant Glamour Blog - THE POSTCARD. A marriage of technology and the old-fashioned written greeting.
